CJ BIO aims to reduce feed risks with data-driven platform
CJ BIO is introducing NewtriSolution, a web-based livestock nutrition advisory platform designed to address ingredient variability, price volatility and rising environmental demands. Assessing more than just the lowest cost
According to CJ BIO, NewtriSolution is designed to ensure that feed decisions are not based solely on the lowest-cost formulation. The platform assesses ingredient value, animal performance, environmental impacts and economic outcomes together.
The system is built on the company’s research and expertise in amino acid nutrition. CJ BIO announced on November 4, 2026, that NewtriSolution will make its global debut at EuroTier 2026. The company says the solution combines scientific findings, digital tools and technical expertise to support feed formulation decisions.
Five solutions across three areas
The platform offers five tools across three main areas: feed planning, profitability analysis and analytics.
- FeedXplorer: the Least Cost Simulator supports cost-effective feed formulations, while the Carbon Emission Simulator estimates ingredients’ carbon dioxide emissions based on their origin and transport data.
- REQ: based on global research, it recommends amino acid requirements for pigs at different growth stages and production targets. The metrics assessed include average daily gain and feed conversion ratio.
- BCAA Calculator: it assesses valine and isoleucine levels relative to leucine levels, estimates their potential effects on growth performance and simulates economic outcomes.
- ROI Simulator: it compares animal performance and economic outcomes at different nutrient levels, making it possible to assess the potential returns of nutrition strategies.
- InsightLab: it conducts laboratory assessments of feed processing, gastrointestinal digestion, gut microbiota and cellular responses to evaluate ingredient quality and functional value.
Digital tools and technical advice in one process
CJ BIO emphasises that NewtriSolution is not simply a collection of standalone calculators. The platform organises technical services into a coordinated advisory process that supports decisions from understanding ingredients and selecting nutrient levels to evaluating performance and profitability.
The system also enables data sharing and two-way communication between CJ BIO and its customers. This connects the digital tools with the company’s practical technical advice.
Dr Jaecheol Kim, head of CJ BIO’s AN Tech Solution Center, said the key to effective feed formulation is “not simply generating data, but applying scientific insights to achieve meaningful improvements in animal performance and economic outcomes”. According to the company, NewtriSolution can support customers as a reliable technical partner, helping them make better-informed and more confident decisions.
