Levvy targets invisible billable hours
Levvy, the developer of practice management software for accounting and CAS firms, announced its new Levvy AI capabilities on November 3, 2026. The company says firms' margins can be eroded by work that is difficult to track, including manual data entry, client inquiries that never make it into the records and serving clients who pay less than the cost of the work.
According to Levvy founder Jeanne Hardy, client requests and unplanned tasks can add another 25-30 percent of work on top of regularly defined services. The company says some of this work could form the basis of advisory services if the firm records and schedules these tasks quickly.
Managing bills, follow-ups and workflows
Levvy AI supports several tasks within the platform. The AP Agent creates bills in QuickBooks Online from supplier invoices received in a client's inbox. According to Levvy, accountants then need to review and approve the entries rather than enter the data manually.
The AI note-taker turns client calls into tasks and workflows so requests can be assigned immediately. Firms can also insert an existing checklist, which the system turns into a Levvy workflow, or create a new client task with a single sentence.
AI Insights answers natural-language questions about client projects and team performance. Levvy says the feature can also flag patterns that traditional reports miss. Together with capacity and profitability views, it allows firm leaders to assess which clients justify the time invested.
Claude and ChatGPT integration with role-based access
In addition to the platform, Levvy AI can now be used through the Claude and ChatGPT interfaces via a new integration. Levvy says teams can therefore manage their work from the AI assistants they already use.
Leaders remain in control. The connected AI assistant can access only the information permitted by the individual user's role and requests approval before creating anything. It cannot edit or delete existing workflows or tasks. Levvy is SOC 2 compliant.
The AI features, along with the Claude and ChatGPT integration, are available in every Levvy plan at no extra cost. Companies can try the service free for 14 days without providing a credit card. Plans start at $59 per user per month with annual billing. Levvy says companies use the platform in 18 countries.
