Different data sources brought together in one interface
LexisNexis Risk Solutions announced the launch of Accurint One on November 3. The company says the platform is designed to give investigators access in a single environment to information from agency systems, national databases, commercial sources and related technologies.
According to the company’s announcement, data is often held in separate systems, forcing investigators to switch between multiple locations. Accurint One allows users to start with what they already know, then uncover relevant connections, verify information, filter out false leads and build a more comprehensive picture of a case.
The platform combines data from LexisNexis Risk Solutions, data from relevant partners and information held by the agency itself. According to the announcement, the solution was specifically built for US criminal justice agencies, with development carried out in collaboration with people working in the field.
Search, mapping and artificial intelligence
Accurint One’s built-in capabilities include search, collaborative case management, mapping, link analysis, analytics and investigative timelines. The platform’s artificial intelligence-powered features can summarize records and analyze networks of connections to identify potential relationships.
LexisNexis Risk Solutions emphasizes that using artificial intelligence in criminal justice carries particular responsibility. Under the company’s model, trained professionals remain at the center of decision-making. Artificial intelligence can help organize information, recognize patterns and surface connections, but authorized users are responsible for interpreting the results and determining the next step.
Haywood Talcove, CEO of LexisNexis Risk Solutions Government, said law enforcement is fighting 21st-century crimes with an investigative technology model developed largely in the 20th century. He said Accurint One brings data, analytics and artificial intelligence together for the investigator, rather than forcing the investigator to adapt to the technology.
From searching to understanding and action
The company describes how Accurint One works as a “Searching to Knowing to Acting” process, moving from search to knowledge and then to action. The goal is to ensure that law enforcement agencies do not have to search through separate systems and then assemble the investigative picture piece by piece.
According to LexisNexis Risk Solutions, the integrated platform turns fragmented information into a clearer picture and supports the transition from asking questions to actionable insights. The announcement links the solution to the future of public safety, where agencies must quickly and responsibly turn information into understanding, and understanding into action.
Agencies interested in Accurint One can request more information or a demonstration on the company’s product page. The platform’s announcement expands LexisNexis Risk Solutions’ government and law enforcement technology offering, while the company also highlights retaining user responsibility for decisions as part of how the system operates.
