PROS and IBS Software have formed a strategic partnership to combine PROS Kairos Offer Management with IBS Software's iRetail Order Management for airlines. The companies say the interoperable platform will give carriers a modular alternative to replacing their entire commercial technology stack.

Key points
  • PROS and IBS Software announced a strategic partnership on November 4, 2026.
  • The offering combines PROS Kairos Offer Management with IBS Software's iRetail Order Management.
  • The companies say airlines can modernize without replacing their entire commercial technology stack.
  • The partnership uses pre-engineered integration to support an interoperable, modular approach.
  • The companies aim to help airlines create more relevant offers and improve commercial agility.

Combined Offer and Order capabilities

The partnership connects PROS' Offer Management capabilities with IBS Software's Order Management technology in a pre-engineered integration. The companies describe the resulting platform as a practical alternative to single-vendor retailing suites.

According to PROS and IBS Software, the combined system is intended to reduce complexity, accelerate modernization and support airlines at every stage of their modern retailing journey. By linking the two capabilities, airlines can create more relevant traveler offers and improve commercial agility, which the companies say can support innovation and stronger revenue performance.

A modular route to modernization

The partnership is based on the companies' view that airlines should not have to replace their entire commercial technology stack to gain early benefits from modern retailing. Airlines can adopt the combined approach at their own pace, use existing investments and select technology partners that fit their business requirements, according to the announcement.

“Airlines want the freedom to modernize on their own terms while improving commercial performance,” said Sunil John, Chief Executive Officer at PROS. He said the partnership brings together Offer and Order capabilities in “an open, interoperable ecosystem” to help airlines accelerate modern retailing, create more relevant traveler offers and capture greater value across the retailing lifecycle.

Somit Goyal, Chief Executive Officer at IBS Software, said airlines have been asked to choose between “a single stack they cannot shape” and a modular approach they must assemble themselves. The partnership is designed to provide what he called “a more open and practical path to modern retailing” while preserving flexibility and accelerating transformation.

What the partnership means for airlines

The announcement positions the arrangement as a way for airlines to pursue commercial technology changes without committing to a full replacement of their existing systems. Its focus is interoperability, customer choice and the ability to modernize incrementally.

PROS describes itself as an airline retailing transformation partner offering capabilities to create, price, sell and optimize offers. The company says it combines airline commercial expertise, pricing science, AI, intelligent automation and an open ecosystem, backed by more than 40 years of industry experience.

IBS Software describes itself as a travel technology company serving aviation, cargo and logistics, and leisure and hospitality. It says it operates from 17 offices globally and provides capabilities spanning airline retailing, passenger services, loyalty, fleet, hub and crew operations, cargo management, and cloud-native platforms for hotels and cruise line operators.
