One system manages the entire research process
RepData unveiled its Verified Intelligence Platform, or VIP, on November 3. The company says the solution guides teams from formulating research questions through to results that can inform business decisions, while checking data quality at every stage.
Users can design studies, find verified respondents, filter out fraud and low-quality answers, and then analyze the results within the same system. They can manage research themselves or draw on the expertise of RepData specialists.
The platform builds on RepData’s existing sample-sourcing and fraud-prevention technology. The company expanded those capabilities through the acquisitions of ReDem, OWL and SightX, adding research design, behavior-based data-quality assessment and advanced analytics features.
It scores the quality of both respondents and responses
VIP uses RepData’s curated participant network and performs quality checks at the source, respondent and individual-response levels. Research Defender verifies sources. According to the company, it scores sample sources in real time and blocks low-quality sources both during fieldwork and after it has ended.
More than 120 signals are assessed and scored together for each respondent. Based on these signals, the system can identify fraud, inattention and AI-generated text responses before and during surveys.
Individual responses receive a quality score from 0 to 100 based on five criteria: open-ended responses, behavioral analysis, timing, grid questions and coherence. The system also provides an easy-to-understand explanation for flagged responses. Rejected respondents are automatically replaced during fieldwork, eliminating the need for post-fieldwork data corrections caused by participant dropouts.
RepData says research results are used to retrain its quality models, which may improve detection over time.
Agentic workflows and multiple ways to use the platform
VIP also supports so-called agentic research workflows. In these workflows, AI-powered agents can create surveys, launch studies, collect results, analyze data and produce reports. According to the announcement, verification is present at each of these stages as well.
The integrated platform includes more than 50 research methodologies and question types, along with a panel network covering 50 countries, pre-survey quality checks, automated data cleaning, analysis, reporting and actionable recommendations.
The company highlights three access options. Clients can use the full platform, access RepData’s sample marketplace and data-quality tools separately through an API or MCP connection, or entrust entire research projects to the RepData team. The solution is offered to enterprises and mid-sized companies, research agencies and technology platforms.
Patrick Stokes, CEO and founder of RepData, said research teams should not have to make high-stakes decisions based on questionable data or choose between quality and speed. He said VIP brings the capabilities, technology and transparency they need together in one place.
The announcement was accompanied by a new brand identity and website reflecting RepData’s expanded capabilities. The platform may therefore be relevant to organizations that want to conduct research themselves, are looking for data-quality tools for their existing survey systems, or want to outsource entire research projects.
