- The third phase of the 140th Canton Fair runs from October 31 to November 4.
- The Intelligent Healthcare Zone features clinical robots, imaging systems and a capsule robot.
- A contactless device could provide overnight cardiac monitoring for home use.
- The AI system examines the entire body in 32 seconds.
- The exhibition places home care and rehabilitation alongside clinical innovations.
From clinical precision to home care
The third phase of the trade fair in Guangzhou, China, is focused on solutions that support healthcare and health maintenance. The Intelligent Healthcare Zone covers the space between professional medical technology and products for everyday wellbeing.
Clinical innovations on display include a stereo-magnetic resonance imaging system, laparoscopic surgical robots and an intelligent capsule robot system designed for gastroscopy. Another group of exhibits consists of massage robots and exoskeletons that help older people and patients achieve vertical mobility.
Contactless cardiac monitoring and an intelligent bathing aid
Among the everyday care innovations on display, a contactless heart-monitoring device has attracted particularly strong interest. According to the source, the device is unique in the world and requires neither electrodes nor wearable equipment. Placed beside the bed, it can monitor cardiac health continuously and with high accuracy throughout the night, making it suitable for home monitoring and early prevention in community settings.
An intelligent wearable bathing aid also attracted the interest of a US nursing home operator attending the Canton Fair for the first time. The product met its operational requirements, prompting the visitor to request detailed information about water capacity, wastewater management and operating time per cycle.
AI also supports rehabilitation
An exoskeleton designed to support the hip joint is also on display. The device was developed for people with limited mobility due to age, injury or rehabilitation needs. It uses digital body modelling and biomechanical simulations, and according to the source, its optimised structure and control system enable natural, unobtrusive walking assistance and training.
An AI-based system that assesses body composition and three-dimensional posture for rehabilitation and clinical purposes is also being presented. Using AI image processing and 3D reconstruction, it examines posture, musculoskeletal axes and muscle balance, promising millimetre-level accuracy. A full-body assessment is completed in 32 seconds, after which the system automatically generates a report and stores patient data for ongoing monitoring.
According to the fair's organisers, the Intelligent Healthcare Zone demonstrates how technology can support both advanced clinical interventions and more accessible everyday care. Linked to the Better Life theme, the section highlights healthcare solutions that the announcement associates with improving the quality of life of people worldwide.
