German indasys builds its own AI platform with Lenovo TruScale

German IT system house indasys IT Systemhaus AG has expanded its own use of artificial intelligence by building on the Lenovo TruScale Infrastructure as a Service platform, and is now using it to offer AI services to customers. The private cloud, built with Lenovo and NVIDIA technologies, provides locally managed infrastructure, while the company says capacity can be expanded significantly as demand grows without major upfront investment.
- indasys has built a private cloud AI platform based on Lenovo TruScale.
- The platform uses Lenovo, Intel and NVIDIA technologies.
- AI increased the company's public-sector tender submission capacity sixfold.
- The company achieved a 32 percent win rate across more than 150 AI-supported tenders.
- BaWü Cloud and Agentum GmbH offer sovereign AI services to customers.
AI strategy built on locally managed infrastructure
indasys was looking for a platform that could support its own AI use cases, the BaWü Cloud service for businesses in Baden-Württemberg, and its new AI subsidiary, Agentum GmbH. Maintaining control over sensitive data and AI workflows was important to the company, so it incorporated both private cloud and on-site, or so-called on-premises, deployment options into the solution.
According to Lenovo, the platform consists of Lenovo ThinkSystem servers, Intel Xeon 6 processors, NVIDIA L4 Tensor Core GPUs and Lenovo storage. Lenovo Professional Services supported the practical implementation of the design and the deployment of the AI environment. The modular architecture allows indasys to expand capacity as requirements change.
Internal use delivers business results
indasys uses the AI platform, among other things, to prepare public-sector tenders. AI-based analysis helps evaluate requirements and prepare tender documents. According to the company, this has increased its capacity to submit public-sector tenders sixfold.
indasys has submitted more than 150 tenders supported by AI analysis and guidance, with a win rate of 32 percent. AI also supports customer service by automating task scheduling and providing a real-time view of engineer availability. According to Lenovo, the performance of AI workflows has improved by up to four times.
Daniel Berger, CEO of the indasys IT Systemhaus AG group, said the company had achieved significant efficiency gains using Lenovo TruScale and wanted to pass this experience on to customers through Agentum GmbH. Berger added that, with Lenovo's help, the company could provide digital sovereignty through a local private cloud in Germany or on-premises deployments.
BaWü Cloud and Agentum build on the experience
Building on the experience gained through internal use, indasys is also making the technology available to its customers. Through BaWü Cloud, small and medium-sized businesses in Baden-Württemberg can use locally operated cloud and AI services, with greater control over where sensitive data and workflows are hosted. According to Lenovo, this may be particularly important for organizations in public administration and healthcare that must meet strict data-handling, security and regulatory requirements.
As a separate consulting and services business, Agentum GmbH offers customized, modular AI solutions in private cloud or on-premises environments. Tobias Drescher, CEO of Agentum, said the modular private cloud offering developed with Lenovo TruScale makes it easier to deploy AI while protecting customers' critical intellectual property.
Building on Lenovo's technology and expertise, as well as TruScale's flexible consumption model, indasys has become a Lenovo 360 Platinum Partner. The company's aim is to turn the results of its own AI use into repeatable customer solutions in locally managed environments tailored to customers' security, sovereignty and operational requirements.
