Mistral expands Studio with managed agents, workflows and apps

Mistral AI is expanding its Mistral Studio enterprise AI platform with managed agents and apps, plus new capabilities for workflows, enterprise context, observability and evaluations. The company says the update will help developers deploy AI systems across cloud, VPC and on-premises environments while retaining control over data and infrastructure.
- Mistral Studio adds managed agents and apps.
- New workflow tools include enterprise event triggers and visual logic graphs.
- Studio supports cloud, VPC, on-premises and combined deployments.
- Mistral Large 4, or Le Chonk, is positioned for coding, cybersecurity and document reasoning.
- Mistral says ABANCA, Accenture, Alten, BNP Paribas, Capgemini, CMA CGM and TCS use Studio in production.
Studio connects models to business systems
Mistral Studio is designed to help teams build enterprise AI applications using models such as Mistral Large 4, also known as Le Chonk. Mistral says the model supports coding, defensive cybersecurity and reasoning across complex documents and business tasks.
The platform combines agents, workflows and apps on shared infrastructure. Agents investigate and act, workflows coordinate steps and approvals, and apps provide employees with an interface for using those systems. Developers can connect models to enterprise data and systems through connectors and MCP servers.
Organizations can deploy Studio in Mistral's cloud, in their own virtual private cloud, on-premises or across a combination of environments. The company says this gives teams control over how their systems work and how sensitive data is accessed and used.
New tools target production deployment
Managed agents in Studio can perform complex, multi-step tasks. Developers can give them skills that capture team procedures, sandboxes for running code and subagents for delegating parts of a task. Hooks allow custom logic to be added at key points in an agent's execution, while boundaries can be set around the tools, data and actions it may access.
Studio workflows can combine fixed rules, agent reasoning and human decisions. The release adds event triggers from enterprise systems and a visual graph for inspecting workflow logic. Interrupted runs can resume from where they stopped. Developers can also describe a process in Mistral Vibe, then generate, test and deploy a workflow with code that can be inspected and edited.
For applications, Studio provides hosting, authentication and access controls. Developers can use reusable, pre-approved components, retrieve enterprise documents through search indexes and connect applications to agents, workflows and shared context. The company says applications can be tested locally and deployed with one command.
Customers are using Studio in production
Mistral says customers and partners including ABANCA, Accenture, Alten, BNP Paribas, Capgemini, CMA CGM and Tata Consultancy Services already use Studio in production.
Examples described by the company include an agent for investigating production incidents. It follows a team's runbook, requests approval before sensitive actions and posts findings in Slack. Mistral also describes a product operations workflow that classifies bugs and feature requests before routing them to the appropriate teams, saving about 35 hours a week for that group.
CMA CGM says it has used AI systems built with Mistral for cargo release, customer assistance and transport orders. Its systems run on Studio, and the company says new processes have reached production in weeks rather than months. Other customer accounts emphasize deployment control, data security, observability and the ability to move AI projects beyond the pilot stage.
The expansion positions Studio as the operational layer around enterprise models, giving developers tools to build, inspect and deploy agents, workflows and applications while allowing organizations to choose where those systems run.
