One AI foundation for different robots
Pudu’s strategy is built around a shared technological architecture for different robot forms, from specialized service robots to semi-humanoid and humanoid machines. The company says the architecture uses reusable AI capabilities, software modules and skills across platforms, while hardware and motion-control systems remain optimized for particular tasks.
The foundation includes PuduFM, which Pudu describes as an Embodied Foundation Model, and PuduAgent OS, its Embodied AI Agent Platform. According to Pudu, sharing these technologies can reduce research, development and deployment cycles and costs, potentially making adoption more practical for customers.
“The next stage of growth will depend not only on advancing robot capabilities, but also on making robots easier to deploy, more adaptable and commercially viable at scale,” founder and CEO Felix Zhang said in the company’s announcement.
Six product lines span work and home use
The portfolio shown in Amsterdam covers service delivery, commercial cleaning, industrial delivery, general embodied AI, commercial lawn mowing and home lawn care. It includes the BellaBot Pro delivery and interactive service robot, the PUDU CC1 Pro cleaning robot, and the PUDU MP2000 autonomous pallet handling robot, which has a 2,000 kg payload capacity.
Pudu also showcased its PUDU D5, D7 and D9 general embodied AI portfolio, spanning quadruped, semi-humanoid and humanoid robots. The PUDU GT Series includes the GT3, GT5 and GT7 commercial robotic mowers, while the PUDU TOMO S Series brings the company’s first consumer robotics product into home lawn care. TOMO S includes Pudu’s SharpLoop™ Self-Sharpening System.
The company said its technologies now serve 16 industries and more than 900 application scenarios, covering indoor and outdoor environments as well as commercial and home use.
Europe becomes a focus for expansion
Pudu said it operates in more than 20 European countries and serves customers in retail, food and beverage, hospitality, healthcare and transportation. Its named customers include EDEKA, Albert Heijn, Carrefour, Denner, Marriott, Van der Valk, Pizza Hut and Intermarché, as well as Paris Charles de Gaulle Airport.
According to the company, its European revenue has grown by an average of more than 60% annually over the past two years. Pudu also announced on October 30 that it was establishing its European headquarters in Germany, with offices, a showroom, warehousing, training, sales, after-sales support and repair services.
“We want Europe to be among the first markets where this strategy is put into practice,” Bella Sun, Pudu’s Vice President and General Manager for Europe, said. The company’s stated aim is to work with European customers, distributors and partners to apply its robotics technology to commercial and household scenarios.
