A loyalty platform built into SHOPLINE stores
Gameball said its integration with SHOPLINE allows merchants to launch loyalty programs without building them from scratch. The platform is used by more than 3,000 brands in over 75 countries, according to the company.
Gameball’s approach goes beyond points and discounts. Merchants can select games and challenges from its library, then style them to match their brand identity. Customers can return to play, unlock rewards and move through loyalty tiers while continuing to shop.
The company positions the service as a way to address a common e-commerce challenge: first orders may barely cover customer acquisition costs, while profitability depends on later purchases. Gameball is designed to help merchants encourage those follow-up orders.
Games, rewards, tiers and referrals
The integration gives SHOPLINE merchants several retention tools:
- Automatic order rewards: Customers earn points for purchases made in a merchant’s SHOPLINE store, without manual coupon codes.
- Branded games and challenges: Merchants can choose experiences from Gameball’s library and adapt their appearance to fit the store.
- VIP tiers and referrals: High-value customers can receive better perks, while customers can earn rewards for bringing in friends.
- AI-targeted incentives: Gameball’s AI decides which customers to reward and when, with the aim of reducing reliance on blanket discounts.
Gameball said the platform is best suited to brands with frequent purchases and strong competition. The company identified fashion, beauty, grocery, food and beverage, and everyday retail as examples of relevant categories on SHOPLINE.
Available now through the SHOPLINE App Store
The Gameball app is available now on the SHOPLINE App Store. Merchants can install it at apps.shopline.com/detail/gameballl or learn more through Gameball’s website.
“Most loyalty programs ask customers to collect points and wait,” Gameball CEO and Co-founder Ahmed Khairy said. He said the company built Gameball to give customers a reason to return between purchases, with games, tiers and rewards that fit a brand’s experience.
SHOPLINE Co-President Christopher Yang said apps added to the SHOPLINE App Store must deliver results merchants can measure. According to Gameball, its platform reaches over 500 million consumers worldwide. SHOPLINE says more than 700,000 merchants use its platform globally, which includes e-commerce website creation, social commerce, live shopping and point-of-sale systems.
For users, the integration means SHOPLINE brands can add interactive loyalty features to existing stores. For merchants, it provides a ready-made retention program aimed at repeat purchases, referrals and more targeted rewards.
