Longsys to show industrial mSSD and edge AI storage at electronica 2026

Longsys will present its first industrial-grade mSSD built for wide temperature ranges at electronica 2026 in Munich, alongside a range of storage products aimed at AI running on edge devices. The trade fair takes place from 10 to 13 November in Germany.
- Longsys will exhibit at electronica 2026 in Munich, 10 to 13 November, stand C2.459 in hall C2.
- The company will present its first industrial-grade mSSD for wide temperature ranges, based on System-in-Package technology.
- According to Longsys, the SiP design avoids SMT assembly and the solder joints of conventional PCB assembly.
- Live demos of AISSD, AIDIMM and HLCache UFS target on-device AI workloads.
- Lexar will show dashcam memory cards and industrial SD and microSD products.
Storage for AI at the edge
Longsys (301308.SZ/09976.HK) is showing its products under the motto "Almacenamiento integrado que potencia la IA en el borde", or embedded storage powering edge AI. According to the company, AI is moving from the cloud to edge devices, and that shift is creating new demands on storage.
Longsys says industrial and automotive applications need storage with high bandwidth, high durability and reliable operation in harsh environments and across a wide temperature range, while still supporting real-time perception and AI inference. In the company's words, storage is no longer a mere data repository but a fundamental pillar for reliable AI that runs directly on the device.
The industrial mSSD
The headline product is what Longsys calls its first industrial-grade mSSD able to operate across a wide temperature range. It is based on System-in-Package (SiP) technology and integrates the controller, the flash memory and passive components in a single package.
According to Longsys, this removes the need for surface-mount technology (SMT) assembly, which reduces material use and simplifies manufacturing requirements. Because the design avoids the solder joints of conventional PCB assembly, it also eliminates the risk of failures linked to those joints, the company says.
Longsys describes the product as resistant to water, dust and impact, giving it inherent industrial-grade reliability. It adds that environmental criteria were built into the design and manufacturing, supporting more sustainable industrial applications.
Wider portfolio and live demonstrations
Longsys will also present a range of automotive-grade and industrial-grade storage solutions, including UFS, eMMC, LPDDR and SPI NAND flash technologies.
Lexar, Longsys's premium consumer storage brand, will exhibit USB drives and memory cards for dashcams, as well as industrial-grade SD and microSD solutions. The company says these products target uses ranging from smart cockpits and advanced driver assistance systems (ADAS) to industrial control and rail transport.
Live demonstrations of AISSD, AIDIMM and HLCache UFS will show storage formats and solutions designed to optimise data access, model loading and cache acceleration for on-device AI. Longsys says this helps simplify system design, improve responsiveness in inference and increase overall system stability.
What visitors can expect
Longsys is inviting visitors to its stand C2.459 in hall C2 at Messe München. For industrial and automotive customers working on edge AI, the show offers a look at how the company positions its embedded storage for that market. The claims about reliability and manufacturing benefits come from Longsys itself, and the source gives no performance figures, pricing or availability dates for the new mSSD.
Founded in 1999, Longsys describes itself as a leading global semiconductor memory company that covers R&D, design, packaging and testing, manufacturing and sales services.
