Scage Future has entered a strategic cooperation agreement with China Huaye Group that includes a potential initial deployment of up to 1,000 electric heavy-duty trucks for mining transportation in China. The agreement is non-binding and specific projects will require separate definitive agreements.

Key points
  • Guizhou Scage Tech signed a one-year, non-binding framework with China Huaye Group.
  • The cooperation covers mining, infrastructure, renewable energy and other areas.
  • Scage Future is exploring an initial deployment of up to 1,000 electric heavy-duty trucks.
  • The proposed deployment depends on financing, technical feasibility and definitive agreements.
  • Scage Future says the trucks could support safer and greener mining logistics.

A broad framework for cooperation

Scage Future said on November 4 that its indirect wholly owned subsidiary, Guizhou Scage Tech Ltd., signed the agreement with China Huaye Group Co., Ltd., also identified as NCMCC. The agreement was signed on September 22, 2026, in Nanchang, China, and has a tentative term of one year.

The framework covers infrastructure construction, mining operations, renewable energy, circular economy initiatives, financial services and technological innovation. The companies intend to combine their expertise, capital resources and market networks to explore business opportunities, develop projects and advance sustainable industrial solutions throughout China.

China Huaye Group is described as a major Chinese engineering, construction and mining enterprise within the China Minmetals and China Metallurgical Group corporate system. Its businesses include engineering, procurement and construction, mine development and operations, metallurgical engineering, large-scale building construction and municipal infrastructure development.

Potential fleet of autonomous electric trucks

Scage Future Chairman and Chief Executive Officer Chao Gao said the company is exploring an initial deployment of up to 1,000 electric heavy-duty trucks for mining transportation. The proposal depends on project requirements and financing availability.

According to Scage Future, the proposed fleet would combine autonomous vehicle technology with centralized dispatch and monitoring systems. The company says this could enable coordinated transportation across mining sites and related logistics networks.

Guizhou Scage Tech Manager Yicheng Sun said Scage Future's autonomous heavy-duty mining trucks are designed for intelligent, unmanned transportation. The vehicles feature centralized fleet management, remote-control capabilities and autonomous convoy operation, and are designed to operate without onboard drivers in suitable mining environments.

Sun said the company envisions deploying up to 1,000 trucks to transport millions of tons of mining materials. Scage Future said the intended benefits include improved operational safety, transportation efficiency and cost competitiveness, while supporting greener mining operations.

The agreement does not guarantee a deployment

The proposed truck fleet and other projects remain subject to financing, commercial arrangements, technical feasibility and other conditions. Scage Future also said the agreement's non-binding nature means there is a risk that definitive agreements will not be signed.

Other risks identified by the company include regulatory approvals, market conditions, vehicle performance and the parties' ability to execute their strategic objectives. Scage Future said there can be no assurance that the anticipated financing, fleet deployment or other contemplated projects will be completed.

If the parties move from the framework to definitive agreements, the cooperation could connect Scage Future's zero-emission heavy-duty vehicle technology with NCMCC's mining development and engineering capabilities. For now, the announcement represents a proposed path toward wider use of electric and autonomous transportation in China's mining industry, rather than a confirmed vehicle order.
